Held within the forest is a sacred power - a quiet community growing within a chaotic world. There is a paradoxical strength and fragility to this ecosystem.  This sculpture represents a frozen moment in the circle of life - the changing seasons. Life is like a deer, stuck in the middle of the food chain, gentle, yet mighty, graceful yet fierce.

The Sacred Tree Ceramic Stoneware, cable wire and nichrome wire 25” by 15 ”by 12” 2017 Held within the forest is a sacred power. A quiet community growing within a chaotic world. I was passionate to capture the paradoxical strength and fragility of this ecosystem, a frozen moment of the circle of life, prey, life, growth, changing seasons, the wild network of energy that makes up the universe. All life is like a deer, stuck in the middle of the food chain, weak, yet mighty, graceful yet fierce a symbol of the respect we owe to life.
