I've always been drawn to metal as a medium because of its paradoxical nature. It can be rough, dirty, and flexible, but also smooth, beautiful, and strong. It defies expectations
Born and raised on a farm in Moscow Idaho, I have always been the epitome of a small town tomboy. On the farm, I learned a love for hard work and nature. From the smell of rain to the microscopic details of a horses eye, I was constantly inspired by the organic world around me. Throughout college, I explored photography, biology, psychology and philosophy. I strove to learn as much as possible about what it means be alive - studying mind, body and soul.

As an artist, my inspiration stems from my exposure to nature. I am fueled by curiosity and wonder, often incorporating an element of play from my muses. I take inspiration from each animal’s ecology, studying their characteristics. In many ways, humans can empathize with animals because they represent a universal language that anyone can appreciate, recognize and understand. It is my goal to create a soul within my sculptures, bringing joy into peoples lives.
