According to NASA a Supernova is a brilliant point of light resulting from the explosion of a star that has reached the end of its life. Supernovae can briefly outshine entire galaxies and radiate more energy than our sun will in its entire lifetime. This sculpture stands as a reminder that even in the darkest times and int the deepest abyss we are capable of shining our brightest.

Special note: The sound used in her installation is the actual noise her body makes: a recording of the metal groaning and creaking was taken, and was digitally altered to mimic a female humpbacks' song.
